Single Stop Shipments

Create Shipment - Single Pickup and Drop Off

  • Select Customer: Link the shipment to the right customer—applies any customer-specific pricing and gives access on their dashboard.
  • Current Credit: See the customer’s available credit (if enabled).
  • Price & Currency: Enter the shipment price, Currency will be imported from Xero!
  • Order Date: Set the shipment date—backdate or schedule for the future.
  • Branch: Assign the shipment to the correct depot or branch.
  • Customer Reference: Use any order/job number or tracking code. Appears on all docs and is searchable.
  • Shipment Weight & Unit: Enter weight and units for compliance and vehicle planning.
  • Select Service: Choose service level (Standard, Express, etc.)—affects pricing and scheduling.

Pickup & Drop-off Address

  • Search Address: Use Google Maps autocomplete for instant, accurate entry.
  • Map/Satellite View: See and adjust the pin for exact pickup/drop-off.
  • Company Name, Contact Person, Contact Number: All key for delivery success and driver manifests.
  • Street, City, Province, Country, Postal Code: Auto-filled, but editable for total control.
  • Pickup/Drop-off Date, Ready/Open Time, Close Time: Set all time windows for efficient scheduling.
Best Practice: Double-check addresses on the map, and always add contact numbers to avoid failed deliveries.

Single Stop Route Order - Pickup and Dropoff automatically set

Step 2: Route Order (Automated)

  • For single stop shipments (just one pickup and one drop-off), route order is set automatically: Pickup is Stop 1, Drop-off is Stop 2.
  • No need for manual sorting or drag-and-drop. Just review and continue!
  • Stop order is shown in the summary and locked to ensure driver accuracy.
Note: Single stop route order is fully automated for your convenience—perfect for standard deliveries.

Multi-Stop Shipments

Create Shipment - Multiple shipments for one driver/vehicle

Step 1: Enter Details for Each Stop

  • Add Another Stop: Click to add as many shipments as you need for the same driver/vehicle.
  • Each Stop: Has its own pickup/drop-off, address, contact, times, and route order.
  • Remove Stops with the (X) button if extra ones were added by mistake.
  • All Above Fields Apply: Each pickup/drop-off pair uses the same fields as single stop.
Pro Tip: Use multi-drop to combine deliveries and reduce costs—just make sure your route order matches the driver’s real-world plan!

Multi-stop: no route order chosen yet

Step 2: Route Order (Manual Selection)

  • For multi-stop shipments, you choose the order the driver must follow. Just click each pickup and delivery card in the order you want the stops completed.
  • If pickups are at the same location, they’re automatically grouped into a single stop for efficiency.
  • If you make a mistake, click Reset and start again.
  • We're working on an Auto Route feature, but for now manual selection gives you full control.
Tip: Manual ordering is perfect if you have time windows or special instructions for certain stops.

Step 3: Route Order Complete

  • Once you’ve clicked all stops, the route order is locked and visible at a glance—pickups first, then deliveries.
  • If you need to make changes, use the Edit Route option before finalizing the shipment.
  • The system is being improved for even faster Auto Route options!

Shipment Workflow

  1. Select your customer and fill in main shipment details (price, reference, service, etc.).
  2. Enter pickup and drop-off address details. Use the map for accuracy and fill in all contact info.
  3. (Optional) Add Another Stop for multi-drop runs.
  4. Set route order:
    • For single stop: route order is set automatically.
    • For multi-stop: click pickup/delivery cards in the exact driver order you want. Stops at same address are grouped.
  5. Double-check all details, then click Next to review and confirm your shipments.

Pro Tips & Best Practices

  • Use Google Maps autocomplete for speed and accuracy—avoid manual typos in your logistics workflows.
  • Fill in all contact numbers for every stop—drivers rely on these!
  • Ready/Open and Close times help drivers plan. Be realistic to avoid missed windows and optimize fleet routes.
  • For multi-drop jobs, plan your route order for the most efficient path (or let the system optimize if available for your transport management solution).
  • Always check route order and address on the map before finalizing your shipment creation.
  • If you’re unsure about any field, hover for tooltips or ask support!
